Woodrow A. ‘Woody’ Everly
Woodrow A. ‘Woody’ Everly, 71, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in residence.
He was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Donald and Wanda L. (Marker) Everly.
He was a lifetime Kosciusko County, Ind., resident. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 as a Specialist 4 (E4 Tech).
On Jan. 28, 1989 he was united in marriage to Patricia Proffitt. He was owner of Woody Everly and Sons Trucking, Inc. from 1981 to 2005 and PNW Logistics from 1989 to 2012. Woody was a member of the Warsaw Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1126, Warsaw, Rozella Ford Golf Course and American Legion Post #424, Bourbon, Ind.
Survivors include: his wife Patricia Everly, Warsaw; a son: David (Leif) Everly, Warsaw; a daughter: Tammy (Steve) Adamiec, Claypool, Ind.; step-daughters: Paula (Jeff) Lucas, Huntington, Ind.; and Kim Kuns, Warsaw; a step-son: Donald (Tiara) Richardson, Camden, Ind.; a brother: Bill Everly, Warsaw; sisters: Sue (Kenneth) Tener, Nappanee, Ind.; Jody Everly, Eugene, Ore.; and Sherry (Rod) Hess, Plymouth, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son: Royce Richardson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in V.F.W. Post #1126 1350 W. Center St. Warsaw. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel is entrusted with final arrangements.
