Chicago, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Play Sept. 15
INDIANAPOLIS — An evening with Chicago and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will appear live at 7 p.m. (doors at 6 p.m.) on Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis.
Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era” by former President Bill Clinton, Chicago is the first American band to chart Top 40 albums in five consecutive decades and Billboard’s highest charting American band of all time.
Chicago has generously supported charitable causes in the past. For the 18th straight year, Chicago has donated a portion of ticket sales to the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, which seeks a cure to the fatal children’s disease, Niemann-Pick Type C. The band also donates an additional portion of ticket sales to help raise money for Hannah & Friends, which works to improve the quality of life for children and adults with special needs. Hannah & Friends is the personal mission of Maura Weis and her husband, Charlie Weis, the current coach at the University of Kansas.
Advanced reserved seat tickets and general admission lawn tickets, plus applicable fees, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 5, and will be available at the Old National Centre Box Office (except day of show), Livenation.com, Ticketmaster, participating Wal-Mart locations or charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000.
