Bessie E. Blosser
Bessie E. Blosser, 91, of Nappanee, Ind., passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa, Ind.
She was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Nappanee, Ind., to George and Nettie (Muffley) Marquart. She married Arthur Blosser on Feb. 12, 1944, in Bourbon, Ind. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1998.
She was a homemaker and a lifetime area resident. Bessie was a member of the First Church of God in Nappanee, and a member of the W.C.G. at the First Church of God. She liked to garden and she also enjoyed baking, and needle work.
Surviving are daughters: Sharon K. (David) Bean, Nappanee; Anita Blosser, Nappanee; grandson: David (Emily) Bean Jr., Nappanee; and sister: Treva Herr, Nappanee.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Vern, Berlin ‘Bud,’ Harold and Chester Marquart; and sisters: Jenny Marquart, Edith Brock, Pearl Lemler, Florence Hepler, Marjorie Bixler-Baker, Esther Smith, and Anna Cripe.
Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at The First Church of God in Nappanee. Reverend Sam Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow at Hepton Union Cemetery.
