Rose M. Calbeck, 62, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, at her residence.

She was born May 30, 1950, in Wolf Lake, Ind., to Everett and Leone (Coy) Calbeck. She resided in Syracuse since 1968.

She retired from Dana Corporation, and was currently employed by Phend & Brown. She was a longtime member of the Syracuse Eagles and the Syracuse American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Rose is survived by her sister: Jean (Terry) Keever, Wolcottville, Ind.; her brother: Thomas (Mary J.) Calbeck, Ligonier, Ind.; three nieces and three nephews; and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and aa sister: Carol Burns.

A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Monday, March 4, at the Eastlund Funeral Home. There will be a gathering of friends and family at the Syracuse Eagles immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Syracuse Eagles or the Syracuse American Legion.
