Diane Jill Sisk Harmon
Diane Jill Sisk Harmon, 41, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 5:21 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in St. Joseph Regional Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind., after a 23-year battle with Crohn’s Disease.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, Diane was born Oct. 27, 1971, in Warsaw to Bill and Carol (Baumgartner) Sisk. She was a 1990 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School, Mentone, Ind. She went to state swimming finals in 1987 and 1988. Diane holds the school record for the butterfly stroke.
On April 19, 2003, in Atwood, Ind., Diane and Dane Harmon were married. She was a homemaker and a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, Beaver Dam (Akron). Diane raised pigs as a member of the Beaver Dam 4-H. She swam on the Tippy Valley Aquatic Team at the age of 10. She was outgoing and had a mind of her own. Diane loved and would do anything for her girls and family.
With memories to treasure, those who survive is her husband: Dane Harmon, Warsaw; two daughters: Angelica “Angel” Jackson and Cheyenne Jackson; stepdaughter: Tiffany (Lance) Everts; granddaughter: Zoey Everts, all of Warsaw; parents: Bill and Carol Sisk, Claypool, Ind.; brother and sister-in-law: Jack and Ronda Sisk, Jacksonville, Fla.; maternal grandmother: Margaret Baumgartner.
Preceding Diane in death is her maternal grandfather: W. Wayne Baumgartner; paternal grandparents: Jack and Doris Sisk.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing and supporting each other from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Diane Jill Sisk Harmon will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, with Pastor Dennis Bollengacher of New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that memorials given in Diane’s memory be given to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, National Processing Center, PO Box 1245, Albert Lea, MN 46007-9976.
