Henrietta L. Karp
Henrietta L. Karp, age 80, of Hoffman Lake, Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in her residence.
She was born June 15, 1932 in Chicago, Ill., to Theodore and Elizabeth (Baronowski) Janiga. She was formerly of Chicago and was a Kosciusko County resident for the past 18 years.
On May 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Donald Karp who preceded her June 30, 2000.
She was formerly employed as a receptionist at McKey & Pouge Realty Hinsdale, Ill. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, and co-coordinated the parish funeral luncheons. In addition, she as a member of the Atwood Home Study Club.
Survivors include daughters: Diane (Steve) Radin, Commerce City, Colo.; and Susan (Larry) Buckels, Oak Lawn, Ill.; sons Donald (Beth) Karp, Oak Lawn, Ill.; Kenneth (Lisa) Karp, Plainfield, Ill.; and Ted (Jeanine) Karp, Westchester, Ill.; a sister: Elizabeth “Betty” Wizer, Hillside, Ill.; and eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Father Phillip DeVolder will officiate the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
