Dorothy Helene Bullock
Dorothy Helene Bullock, 102, of Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 2 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1910, in Milford, Ind., to Pardee Warstler and Grace (Ringgenberg) Warstler. On Feb. 27, 1936, she was married to George Anderson Bullock III, who passed away on Aug. 10, 1987.
She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., where she was a homemaker, and a member of Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church of Warsaw. She had worked at J.C. Penney in Elkhart, Ind., and at Klines Department Store in Warsaw for many years as a sales clerk. She was a member of Winona Lake Senior Club, Beth Bogg’s Bible Study, and an honorary member of the Altrusa International Club of Warsaw.
She is survived by her two sons: George A. (Ann) Bullock, Warsaw; Robert A. (Carla) Bullock Durham, N.C.; two daughters: Jeanine Knowles, Warsaw; Rebecca A. (Phillip) Rinker Goodyear, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her sister: Arneal Gunter, Leesburg, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Johnny and Myron Warstler; one sister: Opal Halterman Smith; and her son-in-law: Thomas Michael ‘Mike’ Knowles.
Her visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market Street, Warsaw. There will also be visitation time prior to her funeral service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the church. Funeral services will be conducted on at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, the church and will be officiated by Pastor Corinne Hodges and the Very Reverend Brian G. Grantz. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home.
