Robert F. Huffman
Robert F. Huffman, 65, of Casselberry, Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, as the result of an accident while riding his bicycle.
He was born July 12, 1947, in Plymouth, Ind., to Lloyd and Marjorie (Swank) Huffman. He graduated from Mentone High School in 1965.
Robert joined the U.S. Army and served in the Viet Nam War. He was honorably discharged.
He married Diann Young on Dec. 23, 1966, in Warsaw. He was employed by R.R. Donnelley Inc. for 36 years, retiring in 2002 as an engraver.
He attended Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw; loved riding his bicycle and rode over 50 miles a day. He also enjoyed playing shuffle board.
He is survived by his wife: Diann Huffman, Casselberry, Fla.; a daughter: Lisa (Michael) Shaw, Casselberry, Fla.; four grandchildren: Raymond, Melinda, Ellen and Max; a brother: Jim Huffman, Lancaster, Pa.; six sisters: Diane (Fred) Dorell, Warsaw; Coni Doberstein, Warsaw; Carol (Greg) Groninger, Midland, Mich.; Barbara Dove, Warsaw; Patty (Steve) Shively, Bourbon, Ind.; and Becky (DeWayne) Busz, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by a son: Raymond Huffman; an infant daughter: Diann Huffman; and his father: Floyd Huffman.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Pfeifer of Warsaw Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green, Ind.
Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
