Clifford D. ‘Nick’ Nicodemus, 74, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away on Feb. 11, 2013, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1938, in Elkhart County, Ind., to Cecil and Evelyn (Swihart) Nicodemus. On Aug. 5, 1961, he married Judy Miller who survives.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at Sea Nymph, JC Pontoon and served on the Syracuse Fire Department. He also served on the Syracuse Town Board. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church.

Nick is survived by his wife; two sons: Jeffery (Bernadine) Nicodemus, Syracuse; Jay D. (Bridgett) Nicodemus, Syracuse; one sister: Shirley Havens, Millersburg, Ind.

He was preceded by two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Eastlund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Eastlund Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery with Military Honors.
