Mary A. Hani
Mary A. Hani, 86, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Burket, Ind., to Homer LeRoy and Betsy L. (O’Hara) Clark. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1945. She married on June 1, 1947, in Warsaw.
Mary worked as a secretary for Dirck Manufacturing for 25 years retiring in 1988. She a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, longtime member of Warsaw Squares and was the glue that held the neighborhood together with her garage being the neighborhood meeting place. She was a die-hard IU fan and loved her family and especially enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by a daughter: Debra (William) Mann, Warsaw; a son: Greg (Allain Hankey) Hani, Austin, Texas; two grandchildren: Bethany (Michael) Stutzman, Mentone, Ind.; and Cody Mann, Mentone; three great-grandchildren: Chloe, Haley and Carter.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Carroll “Chick” Hani; a brother: Herbert Clark; and three sisters; Zazel Dirck, Helen Ewert and Jean Sisk.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Boschain, First Christian Church, Warsaw, officiating. Burial will be Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Mary’s memory.
