UPDATE: Pierceton PNC To Close
At 3 p.m. April 19, the Pierceton PNC Bank will be closing its doors. The branch, which is located at 111 First St., stated that they will be moving all customer information as well possibly relocating several Pierceton employees to the Warsaw PNC locations.
According to PNC Corporate Office Official Amy Vargo, the bank announced the closing to customers on Jan. 18. Vargo states that the consolidation of the branch is the result of the new trend seen in customers in utilizing the Pittsburgh-based bank’s electronic banking features. According to Vargo, PNC continually evaluates customer needs and attempts to fulfill these needs in a cost effective way.
Although the consolidation of the branch will move customer accounts, PNC states bank customers will not have to do any of the work required. PNC will be moving all customer accounts to the Warsaw branches effective the day after the closing. In addition, the bank does state that several ATMs are located through North Webster and Warsaw areas for Pierceton bank members use. PNC hopes to transfer as many employees of the Pierceton location as possible to the Warsaw branch, however the details on employee relocation are still unknown.
