Dear Editor;

I want to thank the Times Union, 1st Source Bank and the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring the Man of the Year Award. There are hundreds of wonderful volunteers and business/community leaders who are doing great things in our county. For me to be singled out and receive this award is truly humbling.

Kosciusko County has an abundance of caring and thoughtful people. Over the years I have worked along side some of them and witnessed many others doing wonderful things to make Warsaw, Winona Lake and Kosciusko County a better place to live, work and play. No one doing this “work” is looking for accolades or praise – they are simply trying to make our community better.

I appreciate the chamber’s effort to annually highlight the good works of its member, government leaders, local businesses, entrepreneurs and volunteers.  Thank you for recognizing these efforts and achievements.
