Arden Baker, 57, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1955, in Huntington, Ind., to Joe and Mae Baker. He had been a Syracuse resident since 1998 coming from California. He was an independent truck driver, mechanic, logger, and and overall handyman. He attended the Millersburg Church of Christ.

He is survived by his son: Mark (Missy) Baker of Cromwell, Ind.; one daughter: Lola Mae Baker, Syracuse; one brother: Bill Baker; one sister: Sarah Baker.

He was preceded by his grandson and his parents.

Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Eastlund Funeral Home with Pastor David Main officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in North Manchester.
