Fawn Heisler
Fawn Heisler, 97, of Nappanee, Ind., formerly of Etna Green, Ind., passed away at 4:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in LuAnn Nursing Home.
She was a lifelong resident of the Etna Green and Bourbon, Ind., area and graduated from Bourbon High School in the class of 1934. She was a homemaker, cleaned houses and worked as a cook at Etna Green School where she retired. Fawn was a faithful member of Etna Green United Methodist Church and a member of the Thimble Club. She was a wonderful cook known for her angel food cakes and homemade noodles. She also enjoyed cooking for the Lions Club, quilting and playing euchre.
Fawn was born on Feb. 17, 1915, to Rollie and Lydia Eaglebarger Bessinger in Bourbon. On Aug. 25, 1935, she married John E. Heisler who preceded in death, Jan. 16, 1988.
Fawn is survived by her daughter: Josephine (Richard) Reprogle, Kokomo, Ind.; four grandchildren: Michael (Kristi) Reprogle, Greentown, Ind.; Matthew (Karen) Reprogle, Noblesville, Ind.; Denise (David) Rosenthal, Cicero, Ind.; Angela (Brian) Shockney, Lafayette, Ind; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister: Evelyn Hall, Bourbon; and her brother: Max (Jessie) Bessinger, Three Rivers, Mich.
She was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren, two sisters: Genevieve Heckaman; Lavon Stackhouse; two brothers; Roy Bessinger; and Wayne Bessinger.
Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Etna Green United Methodist Church, 131 W. Broadway St Etna Green, IN with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating. Burial will follow in Etna Green Cemetery at Etna Green, Indiana.
