Accidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 7:15 p.m. West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: James M. Freck, 23, East Center Street, Warsaw. Freck lost control on the snow-covered road and struck a road sign. Damages: up to $5,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 10:05 a.m. North SR 13, Leesburg. Driver: Joshuwa A. Fair, 24, Cedarwood Court, Goshen. Fair lost control on the snow-covered road and struck a NIPSCO pole. Damages: up to $10,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 12:15 p.m. North 650 East, Warsaw. Driver: Ashley M. Ward, 29, South Woodland Lane, Warsaw. Ward last control on the snow-covered road and struck a guardrail. Damages: up to $10,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 12:16 p.m. East Wooster Road, Warsaw. Driver: Kyle N. Loe, 20, Raleigh Court, Columbia City. Loe lost control on the snow-covered road and slid through a fence, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side. Loe complained of shoulder pain and three passengers complained of knee and leg pain. All were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damages: up to $10,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1:08 p.m. East 100 North and North 400 East, Warsaw. Driver: Kimberly R. Beaman, 41, EMS T7A Lane, Leesburg. Beaman lost control on the snow-covered road and slid into a utility pole and damaged a fence. Damages: up to $5,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1:09 p.m. 2535 E. U.S. 30, Warsaw. Driver: Richard W. Gensch, 19, Pierceton. Gensch said another vehicle came into his lane of travel and when he swerved to avoid a collision he lost control on the snow-covered road and went into a ditch. Damages: up to $2,500
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1:59 p.m. South SR 15 and CR 350 South, Warsaw. Drivers: Travis S. Engle, 27, West 600 South, Claypool; and Matthew D. Drudge,  23, Frontage Road, Warsaw. Engle attempted to stop at a stop sign but slid into the intersection due to icy road conditions and collided with Drudge’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2:10 p.m. U.S. 30, Warsaw. Driver: Joseph E. Lewis, 51, CR 19, Goshen. Lewis lost control on the snow-covered road and the vehicle rolled over. Damages: up to $5,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 3:13 p.m. CR 550 North, Warsaw. Driver: Carmona Hugo Macias, 23, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Macias ran off the road and struck a utility pole. Driver was cited for never having received an operator’s license. Damages: up to $10,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 3:20 p.m. East 1000 North, Warsaw. Driver: Susan A. Clow, 54, West County Line Road, Syracuse. Clow lost control on an icy road and slid into a mailbox. Damages: less than $1,000
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 3:34 p.m. North 150 West, Warsaw. Driver: Alexander N. Miller, 17, Green Hill Drive, Warsaw. Miller lost control on the snow-covered road and struck a tree. Damages: up to $2,500
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 3:58 p.m. North 300 East, Warsaw. Driver: Niles G. Butler,  18, West U.S. 6, Ligonier. Butler lost control on the snow-covered road, slid into a ditch and overturned the vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
• Wednesday, Dec. 26, 4:56 p.m. East Wooster Road, Warsaw. Driver: Steven T. Prater, 30, East Pierceton Road, Pierceton. Prater lost control on the snow-covered road and slid into a road sign and a telephone junction box. Damages: up to $2,500
