Velma Louise Stahly
Velma Louise Stahly, 96, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor Warsaw.
She was born May 29, 1916, in Kosciusko County, Ind., to Calvin Orval and Maggie Mae (Hahn) Stahly. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County.
Velma was formerly employed by Wilts Cedar Chest of Syracuse, Ind., Ball Band Manufacturing of Mishawaka, Ind., and Korth Furniture of Warsaw. She attended the Church of the Nazarene Warsaw and First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County Claypool.
She is survived by a son: James (Sharon) Stahly, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Mike (Pam) Stahly, Warsaw; Shelly (Mark) Aker, Leesburg, Ind.; Jason Stahly, Warsaw; Duane (Patty) Davis, Greenfield, Ind.; Greg (Tonya) Davis, Pierceton, Ind.; Jennifer (Steve) Lease Cole, Fort Myers, Fla.; Dale (Krista) Davis, Seattle, Wash.; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Harold Stahly and Raymond Stahly; and sisters: Isabel Ringler, Fern Blough, Wilma Hadner and Gladys Riggens.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, in the funeral home. Pastor Terry Bradford will officiate the services. Interment will be in Leesburg Cemetery Leesburg.
