George B. Wright
George B. Wright, 85, of Warsaw, Ind., died unexpectedly at 10:05 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, in his home.
He was born March 23, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., to Walter and Christine (Pool) Wright. He lived most of his life in Warsaw coming from Detroit at the age of 16 or 17.
He first married Vera J. Cox on Dec. 19, 1949, Warsaw. He later married Jean Youngs on Sept. 7, 2009, in Warsaw.
He was a carpenter for 30 years, retiring on April 4, 1991. He was a life member of the Warsaw Eagles Lodge; Sons of VFW; Warsaw Moose Lodge 560.
He is survived by his wife: Jean Youngs Wright, Warsaw; a son: Michael Wright, Warsaw; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Vera J. Wright; two daughters: Sharon Cales and Cathy Watts; and a grandson: Chad Cales.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, in the funeral home. Rev. Dudley Waites, Victory Christian Church, North Manchester, Ind. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
