Mildred I. Meredith, 99, of Winona Lake, Ind., and formerly of Beaver Dam Lake, Claypool, Ind., passed away 11:25 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Grace Village Retirement Community.

She was born Nov. 26, 1913, in Kosciusko County, Ind., to Ira and Goldie (Jenkins) Swick. She was married Jan. 30, 1937, in Akron, Ind., to Donivan ‘Donnie’ Meredith, he passed away Jan. 21, 2000. Mildred was a homemaker and was a member of Burket High School’s 1932 graduating class

Mildred is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one brother: Allen Swick; and two sisters: Wilma Kuhn and Dorothy Pletcher.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 West Rochester Street, Akron. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at the funeral home with Reverend Randall Brashear officiating. Burial will take place at Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Ind.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kosciusko County Hospice.
