C. John Kehoe
C. John Kehoe, 97, of Warsaw, Ind., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On March 14, 1915, John was born to Leo and Betty (Smith) Kehoe in Sherwood, Mich. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, graduating from Warsaw High School in 1933. On April 17, 1937, he married June Weiss, who passed away in Jan. 1992, and on Oct. 9, 1993, he married L. Maxine Pifer who passed away Oct. 24, 2012.
John was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Warsaw. He achieved his 32 degree as a Mason and was a member of the Warsaw Masonic Lodge #73. John was also a member of the National Guard.
John was a foreman for Gast Construction for 30 years. He enjoyed his favorite sports events of golf, pro-football and pro-baseball with his favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds and Indiana University Basketball.
He is survived by his three daughters: Dixie (Jim) Kraus, Warsaw; Connie (Bruce) Hayden, Warsaw; Pam (Dick) Craig, South Bend, Ind; step-children: Steve (Lois) Pifer, Savannah, Ga.; Doug (Kim) Pifer, Warsaw; and Carolyn (Mike) Lutes, Warsaw; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister: Ethel Lou Goodrich, North Port, Fla.; and a brother: L. Edward (Connie) Kehoe, Warsaw.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel of Warsaw. Funeral services for John will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Trinity United Methodist Church located at 832 E. Center St., Warsaw. Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery.
The family has asked for memorials to be made to the Kosciusko County Home Care and Hospice, 902 Provident Drive, Warsaw, or to Trinity United Methodist Church at the above address.
