Paul Edward Seaman
Paul Edward Seaman Jr., 83, of Milford, Ind., passed away at 5:46 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind.
Paul was born the only child of Paul Edward and Roberta (Thorpe) Seaman on Nov. 20, 1929, in South Bend, Ind. He was a 1947 graduate of Hartford (Connecticut) High School; he was a graduate of University of Connecticut and also a graduate of its law school.
Paul and Sylvia Bassett were married in October 1952. They shared 60 years of marriage. A year ago they moved to Milford.
For 20 years he was employed by the state of Connecticut Police Department. Captain Paul Seaman Jr. retired from the department in 1980.
Survivors include his wife: Sylvia, Milford; three daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Mark Katzer, Milford; Debbie and Rex Sheeley, Kimmel, Ind.; and Barbara and Allen Schell of Arnold, Mo.; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Marcia Seaman.
A graveside service lead by his family will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, Ind.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Paul be given to a charity of your choice or that simple acts of kindness may be done for others in his memory.
