Warsaw Police and Fire officials responded to the Eastgate Apartment complex in Warsaw shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday after a resident reportedly heard a child call for help.
Police were called to 469 Clinic Ct. responding to what was initially said to be a search for a missing child. The person who called 9-1-1 said he heard what sounded like a young child calling for help.
Police went throughout the complex knocking on doors and asking if any child was missing. The Warsaw Fire Department was called out with a truck to assist with lighting as a search around a pond near the complex was conducted.
Officials on scene say there is no report of anyone missing and that it appears the call was simply a false alarm. Police cleared the scene after approximately an hour.
