Nicholas D. Lowry, 18, of Mentone, Ind., passed Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 10, 1991, in Warsaw, Ind., to David Lowry and Holly Smith. He was a student in the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation. He was an extreme gamer and always enjoyed playing Diablo and Chess. He also enjoyed reading and he loved his dogs.

Nicholas is survived by his mother and stepfather: Holly and Ken Platt, Warsaw; three sisters: Samantha Ferrill, Loveland, Colo.; Sierra Platt, Warsaw; and Sundown Platt, Chicago, Ill.; a brother: Dakota Platt, Warsaw; grandparents: Evelyn and Dewayne Klinger, Ohio; Vera Platt, Warsaw; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone. A private family service with internment will take place at a later date. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green, Ind.
