Erika Lyn (Selner) Beachy
Erika Lyn (Selner) Beachy, 27, of Nappanee, Ind., died unexpectedly of natural causes at 7:05 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Cardiac Care Unit, Indianapolis.
She was born June 1, 1985, in Elkhart to Sonya Stanage and Timothy Selner. She married Ervin D. Beachy on June 30, 2012, in Niles, Mich.
Erika was a 2003 graduate of Concord High School and attended Ball State University. Erika had worked at Keystone RV in the payroll department. She cared and had a deep passion for her job and the employees there.
Erika loved fishing and bragging that she could out fish her brothers and husband at times. She became a huge Chicago Bears and Notre Dame fan since meeting her husband. She loved doing crafts with the kids. She recently became a Thirty One consultant and loved meeting new people. She and Ervin loved doing their fantasy football picks together and having friends over to watch football games and UFC. Her favorite time of year was during the holidays. Erika loved decorating the house for Christmas and going Black Friday shopping, standing in line for hours to get that special gift from Santa for Ethan and Mckynzie. Her smile was contagious as well as her kindness. She loved Ervin and the kids with all her heart. She was a wonderful wife and mother.
Surviving are her husband: Ervin; children: Mckynzie Renee Wingfield and Ethan Andrew Selner, both at home; mother and stepfather: Sonya and Steve Stanage, Elkhart, Ind.; father: Tim Selner, Elkhart; brothers: Timothy (fiancé-Nikole Phillips) Selner, Indianapolis; Benjamin Selner, Elkhart; stepbrothers: Tyler Stanage, Bloomington, Ind.; Broc Stanage, Bristol, Ind.; grandparents: Tom and Dixie Russell, Elkhart; Jim and Jan Selner, Edwardsburg, Mich.; John and Cathy Albert, Arizona; grandmother: Kay Selner, Elkhart; great-grandmother: Betty Severs, New Paris, Ind.; Aunt Lynn and Uncle Bill Gilvin, Elkhart; Aunt Mandee (fiancé Ethan Haar) Russell, Chicago; Aunt Deb Selner, Elkhart; Uncle Doug Selner, New Carlisle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, she was especially close to Jessica, Donnie and Mary Frandsen; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Anna and Ken Beachy, Wakarusa, Ind.; grandparents-in-law: Lloyd and Velda (Slabach) Miller, Goshen, Ind.; sisters-in-law: Angela (Ryan) Mattern and Starla Beachy, both of Wakarusa; and brother-in-law: Kenny (Allison) Maust, Nappanee.
She was preceded in death by an uncle: Johnny Albert; and her grandfather: Richard Severs.
Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa, and for one hour prior to the funeral service which will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church. Rev. Wes Bontreger will officiate and burial will be in Violet Cemetery in Goshen.
