The Leesburg Town Board approved the vacation of an alley between Hickory and Main streets during its monthly meeting Monday evening.

Vacation of the alley allows for a new building in the place of the Express gas station and old Farmers State Bank buildings. The property manager plans to break ground on construction of a Noble Roman’s Pizza after the winter thaw.

The board also discussed the sidewalk replacement program. The board expects to have criteria in place for residents to request repair by their next meeting.

The board meets again at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at the Leesburg Town Hall.
