Dale Gaut
Dale Gaut, 85, of Avon Park, Fla., formerly of Nappanee-Bremen, Ind., area, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Fla.
He was born April 30, 1927, in Fort Wayne to Ora and Doisha (Warren) Gaut. He married Gloria Andrews Filley June 17, 1978, in South Bend, Ind. Dale and Gloria moved to Florida in 2004 from Bremen. Dale retired from Bremen Bearings where he worked as a supervisor. He was a WW II Army veteran and a former member of the Nappanee VFW.
Surviving are his wife: Gloria; daughters: Vicki (Bill) Hubner, Warsaw, Brenda (Gene) Rinkenburg, Plymouth; sons: Don (Lucinda) Gaut, Nappanee, Ind.; John (Patty) Gaut, Leesburg, Ind.; Mark (RaeAnn) Gaut, Wakarusa, Ind.; a stepdaughter: Sherry (Jeff) Six, Bremen, Ind.; stepsons: Ted (Carla) Filley, Lakeville, Ind.; Craig (Sara) Filley, South Bend; Scott (Sue) Filley, Elkhart, Ind.; Jack (Debra) Filley, Wakarusa, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a neice: Martha (John) Segyde, Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Dewey and Wilbur Gaut; and a half sister: Emma Gaut.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, to proceed to Union Center Cemetery for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service with military rites by Nappanee American Legion. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
