Charles Robert ‘Bob’ Teeple
Charles Robert “Bob” Teeple, 89, of Warsaw, Ind., went to be with the Lord at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on March 31, 1923, in Kosciusko County, Ind., to Lester Isaac Teeple and Lunettie Olive (Lippincott) Teeple. He was married on June 10, 1945, to Mary Ann Spicher McCartney, who passed away on April 14, 2009.
Bob was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where he attended and was one of the founding members of Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego, Ind. He was a 1941 graduate of Leesburg High School, after which he went on to serve in the United States Army during WWII as a Staff Sergeant from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946.
He was a farmer, worked in the feed mill, and was a loan officer for 12 years at People’s State Bank (which was also known as First National Bank) in Leesburg, Ind.
He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters: Sara (Tom) Maze, Warsaw; Barb (Stan) Zachary, Green Valley, Ariz.; two sons: Rod (Pat) Teeple, Leesburg, Ind.; Jerry Teeple, Wooster, Ohio; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother: Wayne (Gwendolyn) Teeple, Winona Lake, Ind.; and his special friend: Jane Jontz, Winona Lake.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, and his infant daughter: Nancy Sue Teeple, who died shortly after childbirth.
His visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Calvary Baptist Church, Oswego, and officiated by Pastor Kirk Barger, Pastor Rick Smith, and assisted by Pastor Jack Teeple. Burial will follow at Oswego Cemetery in Oswego.
