WCPL Assisting Teens In Writing
National Novel Writing Month is upon us during the month of November, and the Warsaw Community Public Library is there to help teens in their writing aspirations.
From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, the WCPL’s Room C will be transformed into a teen writing lab complete with laptops, writing prompts and snacks. The writing doesn’t stop after our in-house program, however. We use the online writing community, Figment.com, to host our teen writing group called The Indiana Writing Project, which can be accessed at any time of the day or night from a computer or mobile device.
This group exists to allow teens to share their written creations, whether a school assignment or personal endeavor, with other teens from northern Indiana and to get opinions and critiques.
To request access to the group, e-mail [email protected] and provide your name, age, and where you go to school. This group is for teens only, ages 13-18. Hope to see you at the program on the 26th, or online at Figment.com!
