Ways To Help Victims Of Fire
Those wanting to know how to help a Warsaw family who lost everything in a house fire yesterday have a couple of options in how they can offer support.
Lincoln Elementary School, the family’s home school, is offering to collect financial donations or donations of gift cards for the family – including mom, dad, and five children. A close family friend of Rafael and Luisa Bautista is also accepting donations of clothing.
Luisa and her youngest child, Marco, were in the home when the fire started yesterday morning. Erica Benitez says both mother and child are fine today, although Marco was kept in a Fort Wayne hospital overnight for observation. He suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns to his forehead.
Donations of additional items, such as clothing for the family, is being accepted at Peoplelink Staffing, 3624 Commerce Dr., Warsaw, in the Big R plaza. For more information call Benitez at 574-269-2149 or 574-328-2160.
The family’s clothing sizes are as follows:
Dad – Shirt XL, pants 36
Mom – XL 16-18
Teenage daughter – Small-Medium, size 5-6 tall
Teenage son – XL, pants 36
