Here is everyone’s chance to have a wonderful Christmas season.

All area residents have a shot at winning a portion of the $2,000 Christmas Bucks prizes. All that needs to be done is to enter the Christmas Bucks contest which begins today and runs until noon Saturday, Nov. 24. This event is sponsored by participating area merchants and “the PAPER.”

Winners receive Christmas Bucks that can be redeemed at any business that is participating in the contest. It is not necessary to purchase anything or to be present to win.

All that is needed to enter is to cut out the forms in this week’s edition of “the PAPER,” fill them in and deposit them in the Christmas Bucks boxes at stores and businesses listed below. Entry forms will be in the Nov. 7, 14 and 21 issues, as well. Entry forms are also in the stores taking part in the contest.

First prize is $800 in Christmas Bucks. The second place winner can spend $500; third, fourth and fifth will earn $150 Christmas Bucks each; while sixth through 10th places get $50 in Bucks. Remember, the Bucks must be spent in participating stores.

Drawing of winners will take place in The Papers Inc. corporate headquarters in Milford on Monday, Nov. 26. Each participating merchant will pull out a winner from that business’s box. Then the entries from each merchant go into the final drawing.

Sales representatives will pull out the winning entries. Also selected Nov. 26 will be the merchant winner in a drawing for a flexible Menno Travel vacation voucher for two. Names and photos of the winners will appear in ‘the PAPER’ Wednesday, Dec. 5.
