The Department of Geosciences at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne will dedicate the Argast Family Imaging and Analysis Lab at 1 p.m. Nov. 2,  in the Science Building, Room 263.

The dedication ceremony and news conference will recognize a major donation made by James Argast, father of Anne Argast, professor of geology at IPFW. The donation enabled the purchase of a scanning electron microscope with state-of-the-art capabilities for imaging and microanalysis.

An open house featuring tours of the lab will immediately follow the dedication ceremony and news conference. Refreshments will be served.
