Marvin D. Huffman
Marvin D. Huffman, 86, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
He was born April 13, 1926, in Bremen, Ind., to Cleo and Anna (Mason) Huffman. On Dec. 1, 1948, in Benton, Ind., he was united in marriage to June Linn. He faithfully served his country during WWII in the United States Army 82 Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron as a Gunner from 1945 to 1946 in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was employed by Relax-O Manufacturing of Nappanee, Ind., for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife: June Huffman, Warsaw; a daughter: Carol Crowel, Warsaw; and a son: Bart (Marty) Huffman, Silver Lake, Ind.; a sister: Viola Summy, Warsaw; grandchildren: Troy (Lisa) Brown, Warsaw; Todd Brown, Warsaw; Kelly Huffman, Aurora, Colo.; Josh and Holly Huffman, Aurora, Colo.; and his extended family of two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Charles.
Funeral services will be private. Chaplain Denny Bollenbacher will officiate the services. Interment will be in Stony Point Cemetery Etna Green, Ind.
