Russell T. Biggs
Russell T. Biggs, 83, of Retired Tigers Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, in his residence.
He was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Hopkins County, Ky., to Edward and Inez (McDonald) Biggs. He was a 30-year resident of Warsaw, Ind., and was formerly employed by Bendix Corporation of South Bend, Ind., for 35 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #49 Warsaw and A Lifetime VFW Post #1126 Warsaw member and a member of the Warsaw Eagles.
Russell served in the US Army during WWII receiving a Victory Metal and Army of Occupation Metal, Japan.
He is survived by his son: Rusty (Susan) L. Biggs, Warsaw; a step-grandson: Chris Freedle; and one step-granddaughter: Angie Collins both, Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by his grandson: Ryan L. Biggs; two brothers and two sisters.
Calling hours are scheduled for 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the funeral home with Pastor EJ Underwood officiating. Interment will be in Legion Circle #2, Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Military Honors by the Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
