Norma J. Irwin, 90, of Etna Green, Ind., passed away at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Ind.

She was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Elkhart, Ind., to Charles V. and Hazel (James) Rose. She married Joseph M. Irwin on Dec. 14, 1940, in Wanatah, Ind.

She was a homemaker and a 1940 graduate of Etna Green High School, Etna Green; a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, Ind.; Atwood Home Ec Club, and she loved to travel the United States.

She is survived by two sons: James (Mary Ann) Irwin, Atwood; William (Rita) Irwin, Atwood; a daughter: Nancy L. Irwin, Gallatin, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Donna Rose, Etna Green, Ind.; and Alice Bennett, Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph M. Irwin, April 9, 1993; a brother: Charles “Bud” Rose.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood, with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher.
