Absentee and early voting dates and times were announced at county commissioners this morning. The public test for the electronic voting machines will be at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the clerks’s office.

Early and absentee voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, to Monday, Nov. 5. (Monday through Friday only) and will be open through lunch. Absentee and early voting closes at noon on Nov. 5.

Voting will also take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 and will open through lunch. The deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, Oct. 9. Early/absentee voting will take place in the basement of the Justice Building in the video conference room.

The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
