Richard Lee Taylor
Richard Lee Taylor, 78, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 9:40 a.m. in the Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw.
He was born on Nov. 28, 1933, in Hartford City, Ind., to George W. Taylor and Lorean (Wright) Taylor. On Aug. 22, 1953, he married Janice M. Bowers at Monpelier, Ohio.
For the past 68 years he has been a resident of Kosciusko County. In 1952 he graduated from the Warsaw High School, Warsaw. He worked at the Free Methodist Publishing House, Winona Lake, for many years. Richard owned a construction company for a number of years prior to owning and operating the Tri-State Bolt Company in Warsaw for 19 years. The past few years he worked with the Winona Restoration Company Project, Winona Lake.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Janice Taylor, Winona Lake; three daughters: Cinda (Michael) Chase, Dayton, Tenn.; Linda (Clint) Olson, North Webster, Ind.; and Minda Taylor, Florida; one son: Dave (Jodi) Taylor, Wakarusa, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter: Leslie Taylor; one brother: Alvin L. Taylor; and one sister: Betty L. Taylor.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Gale Janofski officiating. Interment will be made at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
