Richard J. “Dick” Harmon, 71, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 7:07 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born on June 7, 1941, in Seneca, Mich., to Wilbur Joseph and Ruth O. (Bell) Harmon. He grew up in Michigan, attended high school in Adrian, Mich., and served 20 years in the United States Army. He has lived most of his adult life in the Kosciusko County area and moved to North Webster 11 years ago.
He was a life member of the VFW in Warsaw.
Mr. Harmon is survived by a son: Michael Harmon, Edgerton, MA; a sister: Mary Lou (Merv) Whitehead, Warsaw, Ind.; a brother James (Donna) Harmon, Wabash, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Gary and Robert Harmon.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500 North, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home on Thursday with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.
Memorial bequest may be given to the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
