Grace Professor Releases New Book
Grace College graduate counseling professor Dr. Tammy Schultz has released a new and insightful book titled “Beyond Desolate: Hope Versus Hate in the Rubble of Sexual Abuse.” The 342-page paperback tackles the difficult topic of recovery from sexual abuse and is meant to provide a biblically-based resource for recovering victims.
Schultz, an active worker in the therapeutic community, partnered with Hannah Estabrook, M.A., to write the book, which may be used by therapists, within support groups, or for individual healing and processing. Schultz has taught 17 years in Grace’s Graduate Department of Counseling and Interpersonal Relations and has dedicated much of her research and professional life to helping victims of sexual abuse.
“Beyond Desolate,” published by Winona Lake’s BMH Books publishing company, is available online, at bookstores, or at www.bmhbooks.com for $16.99.
