Kip L. Hammer, 65, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Mentone, Ind., passed away on Aug. 1, 2012, while visiting his son in Arlington, Oreg.

He was born on Nov. 16, 1946, in Mentone, Ind., to Zanna and Mary (Myers) Hammer who preceded him in death. Kip was a Navy Veteran. He served in the Vietnam War as a field service medical technician. He was a 1965 graduate of Mentone High School, Mentone, Ind.

He is survived by a daughter: Molly M. (Jonathan  W.) Barnes,  Arlington, Oreg.; a son: Nathan L. (Leslee A.) Hammer, Arlington, Oreg.; a sister: Pam A. (Cliff) Fiscus, Zionsville, Ind.; a brother: Terry (Noel) Hammer Loxahaatchee, Florid.; two grandsons: James P. Barnes and Jonathan R. Barnes.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, Ind.  The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Titus Funeral Home with Chaplain Hunter Floyd officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery with military honors by Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
