Jennifer A. “Jenny” Murphy, 40 of Albion, Ind., and formerly of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at her home as a result of a mobile home fire.

She was born on May 1, 1972, in Goshen Ind., to Mearlin E. and Myra A. (Corll) Bixler. She grew up in the North Webster area and graduated in 1992 from Wawasee High School. She also lived in Cromwell for several years before moving to Albion 3 years ago. She was married on May 25, 1996, in Syracuse, Ind., to Kenneth E. “Kenny” Murphy who survives.

She was a homemaker, attended Merriam Christian Chapel and formerly attended Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego.

She is survived by her husband: Kenny Murphy, Albion; two sons: Keith Murphy, Auburn; and Bradley Murphy, Albion; a daughter: Karen Murphy, Albion; her parents: Mearlin and Myra Bixler, Pierceton, Ind.; a sister: Kari (Ted) Doty, Warsaw, Ind.; a brother: Marty (Heather) Bixler, Warsaw; her maternal grandmother: Rosella Corll, Huntington, Ind.; and three nieces: Kayla Bixler, Laura Bixler and Baylor Doty.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: William and Clifton Bixler and Myron Corll.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, and 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego with Pastors Roderick Smith, Kirk Barger and Dwayne Berna officiating.
