Patricia A. Claybaugh, 85, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away on Aug. 25, 2012, at the Lakeland Rehabilitation Facility in Milford, Ind.

She was born on March 8, 1927, in South Bend, Ind., to Charles K. and Helen (Redman) Cook Sr. She moved to the Goshen area at an early age and graduated from Goshen High School in 1945. On Sept. 1, 1946, she married Lawrence H. Claybaugh who preceded her on April 19, 2002.

She moved to Syracuse in 1948 where she has resided since. She was a homemaker, and a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son: Jerry (Belinda) Claybaugh, Syracuse. She was preceded by her husband, parents, and a brother: Charles Cook Jr.

There will be a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug., 29, at the Syracuse Cemetery  There will be a gathering of family and friends immediately following at the Syracuse Eagles. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pet Refuge in Milford.
