Jenna M. Underwood, 98, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.

She was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Gassaway, W.V., to Hayes and Florence (Chenoweth) Friend. She was formerly of Dayton, Ohio, and Port Charlotte, Fla., moving to Warsaw in 2007. She was employed by the office of Dr. Allen March as an X-Ray Technician for 30 years and retired in the same occupation from the Dayton Ohio Veteran’s Administration Hospital in 1968.

She was united in marriage to Carl E. Underwood on Nov. 22, 1992, in Covington, Ky. Carl preceded her in death in 1977.

Jenna is survived by sons: E.J. (Peg) Underwood, Winona Lake, Ind.; and John Thomas of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter: Jacqualin Orme, Vandalia, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter: Carol Ann Underwood.

Calling hours are scheduled for 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, in Gulf Pine Memorial Park Englewood, Fla.
