Pauline Snyder
Pauline Snyder, 81, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 2:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, in Hospice Home of Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Fred Carl and Victoria (Wojciechowski) Branning.
She was a Pierceton, Ind., resident since 2006 and was formerly of Fort Wayne. She was united in marriage to Clifford Snyder. She was formerly employed by Hall’s Bakery of Fort Wayne and served in Hotel Services in Las Vegas, Nev. She was a member of the Pierceton American Legion Post #258 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband: Clifford Snyder, Warsaw, Ind.; daughters: Bonnie (George) Pollitt, Columbia City, Ind.; Laura (Robert) VanHolten, Las Vegas, Nev.; Rose (Jack) Dubs, Churubusco, Ind.; Jennie Leslie, Fort Wayne; Paula Wertenberger, Pierceton; and Mary (Carl) Brown, Fort Wayne; sons: David Perkins, Columbia City; and James Perkins Jr.; Eugene Perkins and Bobby Joe Perkins, all of Fort Wayne; sisters: Mildred Hart, Fort Wayne; and Ruth (Ken) Mote, Fort Wayne; brother: George (Nancy) Branning, Fort Wayne; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; best friend: Amy Phuong, Ossian, Ind.; and her constant companion dog: Oliver.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Cynthia Stryker; and son-in-law: Denny Wertenberger.
Calling hours are scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. with interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
