Porfiria Rodriguez Juarez Malagon
Porfiria (Rodriguez Juarez) Malagon, 81, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 26, 1931, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to the late Petronila Juarez and Valentin Rodriguez. She was married in 1960 to Jose Agapito Malagon, who preceded her in death.
Porfiria was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 16 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Warsaw.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Jose Antonio Malagon, Juan Joaquin Malagon, Miguel Angel Malagon; two daughters: Carolina Centeno, and Maria Natividad Malagon Rodriguez, all of Warsaw; as well as 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; six brothers: Jesus, Lucas, Domingo, and Thomas Rodriguez, all of Mexico; Amado Rodriguez and Salvador Rodriguez, both of Warsaw; and four sisters: Necina, Francisca, Guadalupe and Paulina Rodriguez, all of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and also from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw, and celebrated by Father Constantino Rocha and Father Fernando Jimenez. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
