Norma Belle Creighton, 92, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Grace Village, Winona Lake, Ind.

She was born June 23, 1920, in Saskatchewan, Canada, to James R. and Daisy M. (Darlison) Kintzel. She married Kermit W. Creighton on Dec. 2, 1939; he died Jan. 2, 1997. She lived most of her adult life in Atwood, Ind., and graduated from Atwood High School in 1939. Norma was a Postmaster for 28 years in Atwood. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Atwood.

She is survived by a daughter: Beverly A. Leiter, Warsaw; two sons: Steven L. (Sue) Creighton, Warsaw; and Michael W. (Sonja) Creighton, Brunswick, Ga.; two sisters: Mavis Michalski, Winona Lake; and Sandra Dickerson, Syracuse, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, and a son-in-law.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
