Shirley A. Taylor
Shirley A. Taylor, 74, of Indianapolis, Ind., and formerly of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Oakland City, Ind., to Creedes Earl and Edna Mae (Romine) Walton. She married Phillip E. Taylor on April 20, 1955, in Warsaw. She resided in Indianapolis after moving from Warsaw in 1961. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church, Indianapolis; enjoyed Bingo, Goofy Golf, traveling and shopping; and she was a sweetie of a mom and a good sister.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by a daughter: Lisa Taylor, Brazil, Ind.; a granddaughter: Tabitha Sigman, Brazil, Ind.; two grandsons: Dirk Daffron, Cayuga, Ind.; and Emory Fleener, Martinsville, Ind.; a great-granddaughter: Taylor Young, Brazil, Ind.; two sisters: Delma Young, Hudson, Fla.; and Barbara Sue Vickers, Wauchula, Fla.; two brothers: Charles D. (Dawn) Walton, Mentone, Ind.; and Ronald L. Walton, Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Phillip E. Taylor; two sisters: LaVaughn Miller and Ruth Evelyn Weeks; and two infant brothers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Terry Bradford, First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Warsaw. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
