Charles L. ‘Chuck’ Turner
Charles L. “Chuck” Turner, 64, of Claypool, Ind., (Beaver Dam Lake), passed away at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Mason Health Care, Warsaw, Ind.
He was born Dec. 30, 1947, in Marion, Ind., to Theo Charles “Ted” and Betty Jean (Morehead) Turner.
He had been a commercial electrician and was a 1966 graduate of Kokomo High School. Chuck served his country in the U.S. Air Force serving in Vietnam and was awarded medals for his service. Chuck enlisted in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1978.
Mr. Turner is survived by two daughters: Tina Alturver, New York; Alice Mae Stark Turner, Claypool; two sisters: Deena (David) Kollin, Spring Hill, Fla.; and Melanie (Chris) Feather, Grand Rapids, Ohio; two brothers: Gerald (Sharon) Turner, Pinellas Park, Fla.; Kyle (Jennifer) Turner, Hudson, Ind.; a grandchild and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, Akron, Ind. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Ind.
