Alice L. Powers
Alice L. Powers, 68, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at The Oaks, Columbia City, Ind.
She was born Nov. 20, 1943, in Nappanee, Ind., to Jerry and Alma (Stutzman) Stutzman. She graduated in 1962 from Nappanee High School, Nappanee, Ind. She married William Louis Powers on April 11, 1973 , in Bremen, Ind.
She worked at Medtronic Sofamor Danek Manufacturing in Quality Control for 15 years retiring in 2010. She was a member of Bourbon Bible Church, Bourbon, Ind.; was a fabulous painter and loved watching birds, the theatre – especially Warsaw’s Wagon Wheal Theatre – she also loved to travel the United States.
She is survived by two sons: Richard (Judith) Powers, Columbia City; and John (Tammy) Powers, Melbourne, Fla.; a daughter: Larraine McKinney, Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren; five sisters: Frances (James) Cox, Crestview, Fla.; Clara Belle Yoder, Plain City, Ohio; Rosie Coblentz, Sarasota, Fla.; Freda (Richard) Ward, Plymouth, Ind.; Marie Myers, Warsaw; three brothers: William (Betty) Stutzman, Palm Harbor, Fla.; Larry Stutzman, Plymouth; and Jerry (Sally) Stutzman, Syracuse, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband: William Louis Powers; her parents: Jerry and Alma Stutzman.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
