Woman Reports Armed Men Enter Home
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department officers are currently investigating an alleged home invasion at Green Acres Mobile Home Park, Warsaw.
According to a sheriff’s report, Sally Hobbs, 51, told police that at about 12 a.m. today, she was alerted by a rustling noise on her front porch. When she went to investigate, she said two men with guns opened the door and forced her to the floor. One held her at gunpoint and another allegedly searched through every room of the trailer.
Sgt. Chad Hill, public information officer for KCSD, said Hobbs described the suspects as both clothed in black pants or shorts and black shirts. She also claimed both men had white T-shirts covering their faces with eye holes cut in them..
When officers did a search of the neighborhood, they found one person who reported seeing a dark colored car traveling slowly through the area prior to the alleged incident, but officers could not find anyone who heard any commotion or saw the suspects.
The KCSD is investigating and are asking that anyone who may have information to call them at 574-267-5667. According to Hill, Sheriff Rocky Goshert believes the incident is isolated as there have been no other reports.
