Hentz Manufacturing LLC of Fort Wayne is planning to add nearly 100 workers to fill an order for more than 10,000 beds. Georgia-based Disc-O-Bed has enlisted the help of the company to fulfill a military contract.
The company, which currently has about 65 workers, is looking to fill cutting, sewing, warehousing and maintenance jobs.
The Georgia company also has suppliers in South African and China, which produce items that are sold to relief agencies. However, its federal government contract stipulates all fabric has to be from U.S. sources and the sewing and cutting has to be done in America.
