Iva Marie Rosbrugh
Iva Marie Rosbrugh, 95, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, Ind.
She was born Dec. 1, 1916, in Leesburg, Ind., to Samuel O. and Eva M. (Stickler) Stookey. She married Warren Rosbrugh on Sept. 13, 1949, in Greenfield, Ind. She lived all of her life in the Warsaw and Leesburg areas.
Iva was a trust officer at First National Bank, retiring in 1976. She had also been a bookkeeper for United Telephone Co., and for Phillipson Clothing Store and was co-owner of Warrens Men’s and Boys Wear in Nappanee. She was a member of Leesburg United Methodist Church; Warsaw Chapter #88 of Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years; Warsaw American Legion Auxiliary; known as “The Egg Lady” – she used eggs of all sorts to make exquisite decorative pieces that were sold around the world; she also made beautiful necklaces from Sunday church bulletins.
Mrs. Rosbrugh is survived by five nieces: Ann Broadbent, Elkhart, Ind.; Marilyn Swem, Boone, North Carolina; Joanne Hoglund, Berlin, Md.; Bobby Lou Phelan, Arizona; and Donna Kay Pineda, Kendallville, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Warren Rosbrugh; her parents: Samuel and Eva M. Stookey; and four brothers: Raymond Stookey, Earl Stookey, Glen Stookey and Karl Stookey.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice chaplain. Burial will follow at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
